Everything about Collision Avoidance totally explainedIn spaceflight, collision avoidance (COLA) is the process of preventing a spacecraft from colliding with any other vehicle or object. COLA is primarily but not exclusively a concern during spaceflight launch windows. A launch window is said to have a "COLA blackout period" during intervals when the vehicle can't lift off to insure its trajectory doesn't take it too close to another object already in space.
